COMBS SERVICES GROUP is a company with a long history of expertise. Fred Combs III started in the mid 1960s with American Can. In the ‘70s and ‘80s he worked at Kerns Foods and managed the production lines for years while overseeing the can-making division along with helping current tooling manufacturing companies. My father and I started our rebuilding facility in the mid-‘90s and that's where I was trained and worked with my father. He retired in 2020 but I have continued the knowledge he passed on. Call us with any questions you might have. Over the last ten to fifteen years the can body has changed to a lighter and harder plate which has caused many seam-related issues. We can recommend new rolls profiles. We can make chucks to fit the lids, which should help eliminate uneven body hooks, uneven countersink, and seams that are giving you nothing but problems when you know your seamer is in good shape and is adjusted properly.
